See below the opportunities for serving in the Executive Board of the ACS local Brazosport Section starting in 2025! Nominations are due on October 11th 2024.
• Chair Elect (to serve as chair in 2026): Presides at all meetings to carry into effect decisions and recommendations of the committee, appoints committee chairs. Carries out duties of local section, sets agenda and goals for year.
• Secretary (1-year term, renewable): Keeps record of proceedings at section meetings, maintains list of members, executes elections, communicates to local section of events.
• Director (2-year term, renewable): Acts as advisor to ACS executive committee for policy, finances, and to ensure the execution of goals of society.
• Treasurer (1 year, renewable): In charge of funds of the Section, keeps accurate records of all receipts and disbursements, receives dues and other payments, submits financial reports to National ACS.
• Councilors (3 year, renewable), (2 positions available, Councilor and Alternate Councilor): Represents and advocates for the local section at the national level. Keeps local section members informed of National ACS initiatives and activities.
